Student Surgical Society of the Austin

The Austin Medical Students Surgical Society was inaugurated on the 1st of August 2007.

The overall aim of this society is to develop student interest in clinical and academic surgery.

It will promote surgical education, especially the teaching of anatomy and surgical skills, provide leadership in surgical research, enhance the relationship between surgeons and students and provide mentorship and advice on surgical careers and develop a close link with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
